Sdrawka Jordanova

Sdrawka Jordanowa ( Bulgarian Здравка Йорданова , English also written Zdravka Yordanova , born December 9, 1950 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian rower .

The CSKA Sofia rower took fifth place with the Bulgarian double foursome at the European Championships in 1971 . In 1973 she competed in the single and reached fourth place. At the 1975 World Championships she competed with Swetla Ozetowa in a double scull and won the bronze medal behind the boats from the USSR and from the GDR.

In 1976 rowing competitions for women were held for the first time at the Olympic Games in Montreal . The Soviet double sculls, which had been newly put together compared to the previous year, won the first run ahead of the vice world champions from the GDR. In the second run, Stanka Georgijewa and Ozetowa won ahead of the Dutch women. In the final, Jordanowa and Ozetowa rowed again in the Bulgarian two-man, who also won the gold medal in front of the boats from the GDR and the USSR.

At the 1977 World Championships , a newly assembled two-man from the GDR won ahead of Jordanova and Ozetowa, who won the title in 1978 ahead of the Soviet bronze medalists of 1976. After the GDR had not won a medal in the double scull in 1978, a new duo joined again in 1979 and rowed the title ahead of the Bulgarians. At the end of their careers, Jordanova and Ozetova finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Moscow .
