Fiona Bourke

Fiona "Fi" Bourke (born October 16, 1988 in Dannevirke , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand rower . In 2014 she won the world title in double sculls .

Fiona Bourke started rowing in 2007. In 2010 she won the silver medal at the U23 World Championships with eighth place . At the 2010 World Rowing Championships without age limit, she finished sixth with the double foursome. The following year, the New Zealand quadruple sculls finished third in two World Cup races, even at the 2011 World Rowing Championships drove Sarah Gray , Louise Trappitt , Fiona Bourke and Eve Macfarlane as a third to the finish. In the same line-up, the double foursome missed the A-final at the 2012 Olympic Games and finished seventh as the winner of the B-final.

In 2013 Fiona Bourke formed a double scull with Zoe Stevenson , the boat won the World Cup regatta in Sydney. At the third World Cup in Lucerne, the two finished second behind the Lithuanian double scull, this result was repeated at the 2013 World Rowing Championships . In 2014 Stevenson and Bourke won the world title.
