Brooke Donoghue

Brooke Donoghue (born January 6, 1995 ) is a New Zealand rower .

Donoghue finished fifth in the quadruple sculls at the Junior World Championships in 2013 . In 2014 she won the bronze medal at the U23 World Championships with a double scull . In 2015 Claudia Hyde and Brooke Donoghue switched from the double scull to the double scull and won the silver medal at the U23 World Championships. In 2016, Donoghue tried to qualify for the Olympic Games with the double scull. In the decisive regatta the New Zealanders took third place in Lucerne, only the first two boats took part in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2017 Olivia Loe and Brooke Donoghue formed a double scull. They won the World Cup regattas in Poznan and Lucerne. At the world championships, the two won with one and a half seconds ahead of the US boat. In 2018 Loe and Donoghue won the World Cup regattas in Linz and Lucerne. At the World Championships, the Lithuanians Milda Valčiukaitė and Ieva Adomavičiūtė won with two seconds ahead of the New Zealanders. In 2019 Donoghue and Loe won the World Cup in Poznan. At the world championships, the two won by one second over the Romanians.
