Irenaeus to Chiusi
Irenäus († 275 in Chiusi ) was a deacon . According to tradition, during the persecution of Christians he procured a Christian burial for Felix, who was tortured in Sutri . He was then arrested and had to walk barefoot to Chiusi. There he died a martyrdom along with many other Christians . Little is known about his life. His feast day is July 3rd.
The Acta Sanctorum of the Bollandists document the interrogations that the Prefect Turcius conducted with Irenaeus.
