Irene Philippaki-Warburton

Irene Philippaki-Warburton , Greek Ειρήνη Φιλιππάκη -Warburton, is a Greco-British Neo- Grecist and Professor Emeritus of Modern Greek at Reading University .

Life

Philippaki-Warburton holds degrees in English and Classical Philology from the University of Athens and a PhD in Linguistics and Classics from Indiana University . She works on theoretical and descriptive linguistics, the structure of modern Greek and the history of the Greek language .

Philippaki-Warburton is co-editor of the Journal of Greek Linguistics .
