Irit Rogoff

Irit Rogoff (born 1963 ) is an art historian and Professor of Visual Cultures in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmith College in London. She also heads the Ph.D program Curatorial / Knowledge here . She deals with the connections between critical theory and contemporary art, especially with regard to geography, location, performativity and cultural differences. In 2011, together with Stefano Harney, Adrian Heathfield, Massiliano Mollona, ​​Louis Moreno and Nora Sternfeld, she founded Freethought, a transnational platform for research, teaching and production based in London.
