Irrlicht - uncanny stories is a romantic thriller booklet series from the Kelter Verlag .

The series started on October 20, 1991 and was the third attempt by the publisher to counter the successful series of the Bastei-Verlag after the short-lived series Kerzenschein-Roman and Lady Romance . Both reprints and new novels are reprinted. In later editions, booklets published in other series of the Kelter-Verlag were also reprinted. After the original Gaslicht series, this is the longest-lived series in this genre. Wisp appears weekly.

The number 800, published on October 23, 2007, was particularly advertised by the publisher and the layout of the number differed from the rest of the issues. By the end of 2019, 1,405 issues had appeared. The novels come primarily from experienced authors such as Friedrich Tenkrat , Wilfried A. Hary , Gudrun Voigt , Annely Hahn , Gerty Schiede , Eva Wallmeyer or Jan Gardemann . However, there are also issues from new authors appearing sporadically.

Offshoot

In addition to Irrlicht Exklusiv , there was also a pocket booklet . This has been compiled exclusively with novels by more experienced authors. The series ran from December 11, 2006 to April 15, 2008 and reached 40 issues.

Irrlicht Exclusive - Eerie Stories ran from January 25, 1994 to October 17, 2000 and reached 328 issues. Apart from the name, the series showed no notable differences from Irrlicht .
