Isaiah Nettles

Isaiah Nettles was an early American blues guitarist and singer, little is known about his life. It was brokered in the 1930s by HC Speir under the name "The Mississippi Moaner".

On October 20, 1935, Nettles recorded five records for Vocalion Records in Jackson, Mississippi . However, only one record was released: Mississippi Moan , on the back It's Cold in China Blues , a version of the Long Lonesome Blues by Blind Lemon Jefferson .

Nettles' trail is lost in Carlisle, Claiborne County , where he lived in 1936.
