The Isla Manuel Rodríguez is an island in the south of Chile . The island forms part of the north coast of the Strait of Magellan . It is separated from the mainland mass of Patagonia by a narrow strait, the Canal Smyth . In the southwest, the Sargazos Canal separates Isla Manuel Rodriguez from the neighboring island of Isla Parker . The coastline is strongly indented by fjords . The island is part of the Archipiélago Reina Adelaida .

The island was named after the Chilean politician and lawyer Manuel Javier Rodríguez Erdoíza . He is considered one of the founders of modern Chile.
