Isokwe is an inhabited island, seven kilometers long and up to two kilometers wide, in Lake Mweru in the province of Luapula in Zambia , about five kilometers from the city of Kashikishi .
It is a narrow, elongated fishing island that merges into the marshes of the Luapula Delta in the west, and is regularly visited by ferry from Nchelenge .
