Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics , ( Hebrew הלשכה המרכזית לסטטיסטיקה HaLishka HaMerkazit LeStatistika ; Arabic دائرة الإحصاء المركزية, DMG Dā'irah al-Iḥṣā al-Markazīyah ; English Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, CBS ) is an office of the Israeli government that has been responsible for compiling and publishing statistics on the land of Israel since 1949 .

The published reports include statistics on population, agriculture, health and the economy, among other things. It is chaired by a statistics officer appointed on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. The office is funded 70% by the Israeli government and 30% by private organizations.
