The Israeli Atomic Energy Commission ( English Israel Atomic Energy Commission , IAEC ) was founded 1952nd Its founding was announced on June 13, 1952 by David Ben-Gurion . Its chairmanship is always held by the Israeli Prime Minister , to whom the Director of the Commission reports directly. The commission advises the government on issues relating to the development of nuclear energy . The fields of activity include the Sorek Nuclear Research Center and the Negev Nuclear Research Center .
