Issa Ayyoub

Issa Ayyoub is a Jordanian politician and diplomat .

Life

He attended the Collège De La Salle and studied from 1974 to 1978 at the University of Warwick . He graduated as a civil engineer with a Bachelor of Science . From 1978 to 1980 he worked as a construction manager for the Jordanian Ministry of Transport at Queen Alia International Airport . This was followed by a job as a project manager for the Al Salah Contracting Company in Al-Azraq until 1983 . He then worked as a department head until 1989 and as a director at the Ministry of Transport in Amman until 1995 . From 1995 to 2000 he was secretary in the ministry until he was briefly appointed Jordanian transport minister in 2000.

In 2000 he went to Arab Potash Company as general manager. From 2003 to 2007 he was chairman of the company. In 2007 he went to Germany as Jordanian ambassador , based in Berlin . Further accreditations existed for Denmark , Finland , Poland and Sweden . In 2011 he returned to Jordan and was Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone in Aqaba until 2012 .
