Itäinen Pihlajasaari ( Swedish : Östra Rönnskär ) is an island belonging to Finland in the Baltic Sea , south of Helsinki in the Gulf of Finland .

The island is part of the Pihlajasaari archipelago and belongs to the Länsisaaret subarea of the Ulkosaaret district of the Finnish capital Helsinki. The sea route runs west to the port of Helsinki just a few hundred meters north. It extends in north-south direction for about 450 meters, with a width of up to 250 meters. Its western half is characterized by a bay that extends about 150 meters into the interior of the island. The island of Läntinen Pihlajasaari , to which a bridge leads, is just 50 meters to the southwest . To the south is the small island of Vadelmakupu , to the northwest Lasimestarinletto .

The island is part of a local recreation area and is connected to Helsinki's local public transport via the neighboring island of Läntinen Pihlajasaaris.

Not far from the northeast tip of the island, at a depth of five meters, lies the wreck of a small wooden boat that sank in the 1900s. It is about three to five meters long with a width of one to one and a half meters.
