Pihlajasaari ( Swedish : Rönnskär ) is the name of a group of islands belonging to Finland in the Baltic Sea , south of Helsinki in the Gulf of Finland .

The archipelago belongs to the Länsisaaret sub-area of the Ulkosaaret district of the Finnish capital Helsinki and covers around 26 hectares . The sea route runs west to the port of Helsinki just a few hundred meters north. The islands of Itäinen Pihlajasaari and the larger island of Läntinen Pihlajasaari to the southwest belong to the archipelago . The two wooded islands are only about 50 meters apart and are connected by a bridge. There are several other small islands in the vicinity, such as Lasimestarinletto in the northwest, Vadelmakupu in the east and Pihlajakari and Pihlajaletto in the southeast.

The archipelago is a local recreation area in Helsinki and is connected to the local public transport network by water buses. On the islands there are some old villas, beaches, a campground, a restaurant, barbecue areas and a sauna. In addition, jogging paths have been created.
