The Itudri is a knife from the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo . The knife, one of the Central African sickle weapons , is mainly attributed to the Momvu , but it is also used by other ethnic groups such as Budu, Baali, Mangbele or Meje.

description

The Itudri has a blade that widens from the handle . The blade is rounded and double-edged at the tip. It is slightly curved as a whole. The handle is made of wood and often wrapped with metal bands. The size varies from 25 to 40 cm. The purpose was usually a tool or work knife. It is likely that it is the original form from which the Momvu and Trumbasch disc knives , among others, developed.
