Ivan Blijd
Iwan Blijd (born May 8, 1953 ) is a Surinamese judoka .
Blijd was a member of the Surinamese Olympic team in Munich in 1972 . He finished 19th in the judo competitions in lightweight (up to 63 kg) after losing to the Swiss Marcel Burkhard in the first round . Blijd was the first judoka from Suriname to take part in the Olympic Games. He was followed in 1976 by Ricardo Elmont and in 1984/1988 by Mohamed Madhar as a Surinamese Juduka who participated in the Olympics.
