Jörg Denninghoff (born April 29, 1966 in Allendorf ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate since 2014 .

Life and work

Denninghoff attended the Katzenelnbogen secondary school from 1976 to 1982 and trained as a power plant electronics technician from 1982 to 1986. From 1986 to 1987 he made up his advanced technical college entrance qualification through a second educational path. In 1987/88 he did military service and then studied electrical engineering at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences from 1988 to 1992 and worked as a systems engineer in information technology. Until he replaced Frank Puchtler in the state parliament on July 1, 2014, he worked at Eaton Industries, where he was most recently IT project manager and was a member of the works council. He is co-founder and partner of modusoft GmbH, Lahnstein.

In 1988 Denninghoff joined the SPD. Jörg Denninghoff has been active in local politics since 1999. He is a member of the Allendorf local council and has been a member of the Katzenelnbogen municipal council since 2004. During this time he held various offices, including that of the parliamentary group chairman in Katzenelnbogen.

In 2014 Jörg Denninghoff replaced Frank Puchtler in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. In the Rhineland-Palatinate state elections in 2016, he entered the state parliament as a direct candidate (SPD) for the Diez / Nassau constituency (constituency 7). He is a full member of the Committee on Health, Care and Demography and the Committee on Media, Digital Infrastructure and Network Policy.

Private

Denninghoff enjoys geocaching in his free time . At the Gutenberg Giga Event 2015, in which thousands of geocachers took part, he was active in the helper team. Denninghoff is a singer in the MGV 'Sängerlust' Allendorf and the CGV Katzenelnbogen.
