Jörg Rehbaum

Jörg Rehbaum (born September 4, 1969 ) is a social democratic politician and since January 31, 2010 the mayor of the city of Burg (near Magdeburg) .

Life

From 1986 to 1989 Jörg Rehbaum was a skilled worker for plant production and from 1990 to 1995 he completed a degree in agricultural engineering (FH) specializing in "land development / land management". In addition to his studies, he worked from 1994 as a clerk in the city planning office of the state capital Magdeburg , from until 2008 as a department head and deputy head of department. In May 2008 he became head of the Magdeburg City-Surrounding Association. In 2009 he obtained a Master of Science degree in urban management.

Jörg Rehbaum is married and has a daughter.

Functions

On January 31, 2010, Rehbaum was elected mayor of Burg in the runoff election with 54.71% of the votes cast. On November 6, 2016, he won re-election with 82% of the votes cast.
