The Jewish cemetery in Opole (Polish: Opole ), the capital of the Opole Voivodeship in southwest Poland , was established around 1822. The Jewish cemetery is a protected cultural monument.

history

Until 1822 the deceased parishioners were buried in Zülz, almost 40 kilometers away . After that, the Jewish community in Opole had its own burial ground, which was more than two kilometers outside the city. During the 19th century the cemetery was enlarged several times. A Tahara house was built around 1870 .
