Jewish cemetery (Liegnitz)
The Jewish cemetery in Liegnitz (Polish Legnica ), a city in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland , was laid out in the 1830s. The Jewish cemetery at ul. Wrocławska 106 is a protected cultural monument .
The cemetery was expanded in the mid-1920s. The representative mourning hall in neo-Romanesque style was built in 1877.
The Jewish cemetery in Liegnitz survived the National Socialist era almost unscathed; the mourning hall was also preserved. Today there are still around 500 tombstones .
