Jewish cemetery (Smilawitschy)
The Smilavichy Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Smilavichy in Minskaya Woblasz in Belarus .
The village of Smilavichy, about 30 kilometers southeast of Minsk and the birthplace of the painter Chaim Soutine , was near the eastern border with the (Second) Republic of Poland before the Second World War . The former burial place is today on a meadow area framed by gardens on the western edge of the community. The gravestones that still exist there have sunk, were broken off or knocked over and are in the area.
