The Jewish quarter in Rakovník (German Rakonitz ), a district town in the Czech Republic in the Central Bohemian region of Středočeský kraj , has existed since the 17th century. Before that there were only isolated Jewish families in the community.

The Jewish quarter in Rakovník is said to have been built in 1678. Only a few houses of this former ghetto on the northern edge of the city center (located around the synagogue) have survived, including the so-called House of Samson (Samsonův dům), which is decorated with a sgraffito . It is the best preserved Renaissance building in the city. The sources give three houses for 1727 and ten houses for the middle of the 19th century. The entrance to the ghetto, a wooden gate, was on Husovo náměstí; it was only eliminated during the Second World War .

After 2010, the remains of the Jewish quarter were thoroughly renovated. In addition to the reconstruction of the buildings in this part of the old town, asphalt pavements were removed and replaced with paving stones.
