Jürgen Kolenda

Jürgen Kolenda is a former German fin swimmer and diver .

At the first World Games in 1981 in Santa Clara , United States , Kolenda won the gold medal in the 100 and 200 meter fin swimming. He won two more gold medals in 50 and 100 meter distance diving. At the 1985 World Games in London , he won seven disciplines (100, 200, 400 meter fin swimming; 50 and 100 meter distance diving as well as the two relays). Together with Carsten Bertram, Clemens Frank (winner of the 400-meter course diving) and Christian Molenaar, he won the gold medals in each of the two seasons of 4-by-100-meter and 4-by-200-meter fin swimming.

He had won a total of eleven gold medals at two World Games.

He was awarded the silver bay leaf for his athletic achievements .
