Jürgen Mattern

Jürgen Mattern (* October 24, 1944 ; † June 21, 1995 ) was German and European champion in the Asian board game Go .

He was German Go Champion ten times in 1970, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1989, 1993. He represented Germany four times at the amateur world championships in Japan .

He was European champion a total of eight times.

His highest rank was the 6th Dan (6d).
