Jürgen Rodeland

Jürgen Rodeland is a German musicologist and organ expert .

Rodeland studied music for high schools as well as musicology at the University of Mainz . He received his doctorate in 1990 with the dissertation Die Orgelbauwerkstatt Schöler in Bad Ems (1748–1832) . Until 2003 he was a research associate at the organ building company Oberlinger .

Since 2004 he has been working as an organ expert in the diocese of Mainz . He taught organ building at the University of Mainz and is a research assistant at the Organ Art Museum in Windesheim . His organ playing has been documented in radio and television recordings.

He is currently teaching German and music at the Gutenberg Gymnasium in Mainz.
