Hamlet 2 is an American comedy film from the year 2008 . Andrew Fleming directed and co-wrote the script with Pam Brady .


In Tucson active high school teacher Dana Marschz taught dramaturgy. He describes his own life as a parody of a tragedy . Marschz learns that his lessons are to be abolished. He is writing a sequel to the play Hamlet to be performed at the school.


Duane Byrge wrote for The Hollywood Reporter on January 23, 2008 that the film was a patchwork of elements from more inspired comedies like Ace Ventura and Borat . His rowdy and unorthodox humor could provide "princely" income at the box office.


The film was in Albuquerque ( New Mexico turned). Its world premiere took place on January 21, 2008 at the Sundance Film Festival . Shortly after the festival screening bought the company Focus Features , the PLR for nearly 10 million US dollars .
