Skylar Astin (* 23. September 1987 in New York as Skylar Astin Lipstein ) is an American actor .

Life

Skylar Astin grew up in Rockland County , New York State . He was raised Jewish with his sister Brielle and brother Milan . After Astin graduated from Clarkstow High School North , he attended Stawgedoor Manor Summer Camp. When he was fifteen years old, his middle name became his pseudonym .

In 2006 he made his Broadway debut in the musical Spring Awakening .

The first film roles followed in 2008, initially in the film Hamlet 2 . After various film and television roles, he appeared on the side of Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson in the film Pitch Perfect , in which he played the a cappella singer Jesse . In the same year he lent his voice to the character of Roy in the animated film Ralph gives his voice.

Since June 2013 Astin has been in a relationship with fellow actor Anna Camp , whom he met while filming Pitch Perfect . The couple got engaged in January 2016 and have been married since September 10, 2016. The couple has been living apart again since spring 2019.
