Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is an American musical , comedy , drama series published by NBC . The series was created based on an idea by Austin Winsberg .
action
After an incident during a computer tomography, the young programmer Zoey can hear the thoughts and wishes of others in the form of singing and dancing performances. Individuals around Zoey suddenly begin to sing and share their most intimate feelings and emotions in the form of popular pop songs and musical performances that only Zoey can hear and see.
Zoey works as a programmer in a startup company in San Francisco and has to prove herself again after being promoted to team leader. In her love life, Zoey cannot choose between two men, on the one hand Max has a crush on her, but Zoey is in love with Simon, who in turn loves his fiancée.
Zoey's father suffers from a fatal nervous disease and can only sit still and rigid on the sofa. The disease puts a lot of strain on the whole family and in particular her mother is sometimes overwhelmed by it.

The German dubbing was based on dialog books by André Lemme under the dialogue direction by Dana Linkiewicz at TV + Synchron GmbH, Berlin.

The first season was filmed in Richmond, British Columbia from September 3, 2019 to January 30, 2020. The first season aired on NBC from January to May 2020. The German-language first broadcast took place from April to July 2020 on Sky One. In the German version, too, the songs are sung in the original English text, with German subtitles.
In June 2020 it was announced that the series would be extended by a second season with 13 episodes.
