Dokolo is a district in northern Uganda . The capital of the district is Dokolo .

location

The district of Dokolo borders in the northwest with the district Lira , in the northeast with the district Alebtong , in the east and south with the district Kaberamaido , in the southwest with the district Amolatar and in the west with the district Apac .

history

The district was created in 2006 from parts of the Lira district.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 215,500 for 2020. In the same year, 11 percent of them lived in urban regions and 89 percent in rural regions.
