Kapchorwa (formerly Sebei ) is a district in eastern Uganda on the border with Kenya . The main town is Kapchorwa of the same name . According to the 2002 census, it had 160,600 inhabitants on an area of ​​1731.7 km², but the present-day districts of Bukwa and Kween have been spun off from Kapchorwa since then . For 2010, 87,000 residents were estimated in the remaining Kapchorwa.

economy

The Sipi waterfalls are of touristic importance . Mainly corn , wheat , beans , sunflowers , yams , peas , potatoes and finger millet are grown, while cash crops are cotton , coffee and wheat. In addition, cattle , goats and sheep are kept.
