Kyotera is a district in central Uganda . The capital of the district is Kasaali .

Among the districts that surround the Kyotera district include the Rakai district , the Lwengo district , the Kalangala District and the Masaka district . Just south of the new district is the Missenyi district in Kagera region in Tanzania .
history
The Kyotera District was created in 2017 from parts of the Rakai District.
Demographics
The population is estimated to be 261,000 for 2020. In the same year, 22.2 percent of them lived in urban regions and 77.8 percent in rural regions.
