Butebo is a district in eastern Uganda . The capital of the district is Butebo .

location

The district of Butebo borders in the north with the districts of Ngora , the districts of Kumi and the districts of Bukedea (from west to east). The Mbale District is located in the east, the Budaka district in the south and the Pallisa district in the west.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 121,200 for 2020. 7.9 percent of them lived in urban regions and 92.1 percent in rural regions in the same year.

economy

Subsistence farming is the main economic activity in the district.
