Kiryandongo is a district in western Uganda . The capital of the district is Kiryandongo .

location

The Kiryandongo district bordered on the north by the district Nwoya , in the northeast on the district Oyam , on the east by the district Apac and to the south and west by the Masindi district .

history

The Kiryandongo District was created in 2010 from parts of the Masindi District .

Demographics

The population is estimated at 313,800 for 2020. In the same year, 20.9 percent of them lived in urban regions and 79.1 percent in rural regions.
