Sheema is a district in western Uganda . The capital of the district is Kibingo .

The district of Sheema borders in the north with the district Buhweju , in the east with the district Mbarara , in the south with the district Ntungamo , in the southwest with the district Mitooma and in the west with the district Bushenyi .
history
The Sheema District was brought into being by a law of the Ugandan Parliament and established on July 1, 2010 in. Previously, the district was known as Sheema County and was part of Bushenyi District.
Demographics
The population is estimated at 220,500 for 2020. In the same year, 64.8 percent of them lived in urban regions and 35.2 percent in rural regions.
