Bundibugyo is a district in western Uganda . The capital of the district is Bundibugyo .

location

The Bundibugyo District is bordered by the Ntoroko District to the northeast, the Kibaale District to the east, the Kabarole District to the south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west and north . The district capital in Bundibugyo is approximately 20 miles west of Fort Portal .

Demographics

The population is estimated to be 263,800 in 2020. In the same year, 27.4 percent of them lived in urban regions and 72.6 percent in rural regions.

Subsistence farming and animal husbandry are the two main economic activities in the district. He is also the largest cocoa producer in Uganda
