location

The Nebbi District is bordered by the Arua District to the north, the Pakwach District to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the south and the Zombo District to the west .

Demographics

The population is estimated to be 282,600 in 2020. In the same year, 14.6 percent of them lived in urban regions and 85.4 percent in rural regions.

economy

Subsistence farming and animal husbandry are the main economic activities in the district.

Infrastructure

There is a small airstrip near Nebbi that can be reached by commercial flights from Entebbe Airport . A rail link that had not existed for many years connected the district to the Uganda Railway system .
