location

The districts surrounding Kakumiro District are Hoima District in the north, Kyegegwa District in the northeast, Kiboga District in the east, Mubende District in the southeast, Kyegegwa District in the south, and Kibaale District in the west.

history

The Kakumiro District was created in 2016 from parts of the Kibaale District.
