Bukwa is a district in eastern Uganda . The capital of the district is Bukwa .

The Bukwo District is bordered by the Amudat District to the north, Kenya to the east and south and the Kween District to the west and northwest .
Demographics
The population is estimated at 119,100 for 2020. In the same year, 13.8 percent of them lived in urban regions and 86.2 percent in rural regions.

economy
Subsistence farming and animal husbandry are the main economic activities in the district. Many of the residents of Bukwo District live in dire poverty. The district is also plagued by continued insecurity due to cattle raids being plagued by ethnic groups from Karamoja in northeast Uganda and the Turkana and Pokot from neighboring Kenya.
