Amolatar is a district in northern Uganda . The capital of the district is Amolatar .

location

The Amolatar district is bordered to the north by the district Apac , in the northeast on the district Dokolo , on the east by the District Kaberamaido , in the southeast of the district Buyende , the south by the district capping and the west by the district Nakasongola .

history

The district was created in 2005 from parts of the Lira district.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 170,100 for 2020. In the same year, 14.6 percent of them lived in urban regions and 85.4 percent in rural regions.
