The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of St-Samson in Clermont , a French parish in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was originally created in the 16th century and changed to Baroque style in the 18th century . In 1987 the baptismal font was added to the list of protected objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as a monument historique .

The baptismal font stands on a richly carved base, which is decorated with a coat of arms on each side. The colored version with frieze and gadroning dates from the 19th century.
