Baptismal font in Gilocourt

The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of St-Martin in Gilocourt , a French parish in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 13th century. In 1908 the Gothic baptismal font was added to the list of protected objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 1.06 meter high limestone baptismal font stands on an octagonal base on which three pillars end. These are created from a stone block with the octagonal baptismal font. The capitals of the columns and the basin are decorated with a relief of leaf motifs.

There are only a few remains of the colored version .
