Baptismal font in Raray

The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of St-Nicolas in Raray , a French parish in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 12th century. In 1912, the Romanesque baptismal font was added to the list of protected objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 83 cm high baptismal font made of limestone stands on an octagonal, profiled base with an octagonal short column. The also octagonal basin is adorned with ogival arcades with tracery that rest on columns with capitals .

The high wooden lid is profiled and dates from the 19th century.
