Baptismal Font (Gouvieux)
The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of Ste-Geneviève in Gouvieux , a French commune in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 14th century. In 1912, the Gothic baptismal font was added to the list of protected objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .
The 79 cm high limestone baptismal font was created from a block of stone that is divided into two zones that are separated by a profile. The upper part is decorated with plant motifs and three passes in the form of a vertical band.
