Baptismal font in Monceaux-l'Abbaye

The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of St-Marcou in Monceaux-l'Abbaye , a French commune in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 15th century. In 1913, the Renaissance- style baptismal font was added to the List of Protected Objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 93 cm high stone baptismal font stands on a rectangular base with an octagonal short column, which is decorated with four reliefs in the form of angels' heads. A two-part tin tub is set in the octagonal basin. The following scenes are depicted on the outside of the basin: Christ's baptism and St. Marcou heals a sick person.

The basin is closed by a wooden cover.
