Jumpei Shimmura ( Japanese 新村 純平 Shimmura Jumpei ; born October 13, 1988 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
Shimmura learned to play soccer on the school team at Riseisha High School . He signed his first contract with Tokyo Verdy in 2007 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2007 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . At the end of the 2008 season, the club rose again from the J2 League.
