Fontenay-Torcy baptismal font

The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of Notre-Dame in Fontenay-Torcy , a French commune in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 13th century. In 1912, the Gothic baptismal font was added to the list of protected objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 87 cm high baptismal font made of limestone stands on an octagonal base with a column that ends with a bead . The basin is also octagonal, it is decorated on all outer surfaces and on the upper edge with reliefs in the form of leaves.
