Amudat is a district in northern Uganda . The capital of the district is Amudat .

The district of Amudat borders in the north on the district Moroto , in the east on the Republic of Kenya , in the south on the districts Bukwa and the district Kween and in the west on the district Nakapiripirit .
history
The district was created in 2010 from parts of the Nakapiripirit district.
Demographics
The population is estimated at 134,900 for 2020. In the same year, 11.1 percent of them lived in urban regions and 88.9 percent in rural regions. The largest ethnic group in the district are the Pokot , an ethnic group who share a common culture and customs with the Kalenjin in Kenya
