Kabarole is a district in western Uganda with 337,800 inhabitants. The capital is Fort Portal .
Some of the ethnic groups in the district are the Bakiga and Batooro in the vicinity of the capital. The culturally revived Kingdom of Toro in 1993 has its center in Fort Portal. South of the capital are also the Karambi Tombs of the Kings of Toro, whose current successor since 1995 is Rukidi IV .
Before the division into separate districts, Kamwenge , Bunyangabu and Kyenjojo also belonged to Kabarole.
