The Moroto district is bordered by the Kaabong district to the north, Kenya to the east, the Amudat district to the south, the Nakapiripirit district to the southwest , the Napak district to the west and the Kotido district to the northwest .
Demographics
The population is estimated to be 118,500 in 2020. In the same year, 13.8 percent of them lived in urban regions and 86.2 percent in rural regions.

economy
Subsistence farming and animal husbandry are the main economic activities in the district. Motoro is a center for natural resources that have yet to be used optimally.
